Q:Will the Dispenser Sentry work on any dispenser model?

A:Yes. We currently provide dispenser contact kits for the Advantage, Encore, Encore S, Ovation, and single panel Vista’s. We also provide a universal kit that can be easily fitted to nearly any dispenser.

Q:Do I need to pull new wire to my dispensers to install the Sentry?

A:In most cases, no. Ask your local distributor for installation survey.

Q:Can I install the Dispenser Sentry myself?

A:No. The Dispenser Sentry must be installed by a certified petroleum service company.

Q:I own a station and want to buy the Dispenser Sentry direct from GasTech. How do I do that?

A:The Dispenser Sentry can only be purchased through an authorized GasTech distributor.

Q:How much does it cost to install the Dispenser Sentry?

A:That will vary according to the location. Contact your local distributor for unit and installation pricing.

Q:My service company is not a GasTech product distributor. What do I do if I need one?

A:Have your service company contact us. We will supply them with all the required information needed to become a GasTech product distributor.

Q:Will the Dispenser Sentry work with my existing security system?

A:Yes, in most cases. Your security company will have to contact us for instructions on connection and setup.

Q:I have new dispensers and have been told they cannot be stolen from. Is this true?

A:No. With every upgrade, thieves become more knowledgeable and find new ways to steal your gas. The only real prevention is to know when your dispensers are being accessed. No dispenser is completely safe; there are simply different ways to steal.

Q:Will the metal bars that I bought and had installed on my pumps keep thieves from stealing gas?

A:No. Depending on dispenser model the bars only address one or two of the issues. During our research on methods of theft we found several ways around the bars that are being installed. Thieves do not care how much damage is done to the dispenser; they care only for your free gas.
